The Espalier design was inspired by folk art, combined with the idea of an espaliered apple tree - a method of pruning and training fruit trees to lie flat against walls or fences. The fabric is pure, natural linen and is printed by hand in small runs in an open-air studio surrounded by rice fields in Tamil Nadu, India.
